Luxembourg - Place des Martyrs

PT// A Place des Martyrs, uma praça com jardins, fica ao sul do vale de Pétrusse, no bairro de Gare. A praça foi construída na década de 1920, após a ocupação alemã da Primeira Guerra Mundial. A praça possui três caminhos radiais, reunidos num ponto em frente à sede da Arcelor, onde um trabalho do escultor britânico Henry Moore, representando uma mãe e um filho, está em destaque. EN// The Place des Martyrs, a garden square, lies to the south of the Pétrusse valley, in the quarter of Gare. The square was laid out in the 1920s, after the German occupation of the First World War. Through the square run three radial paths, meeting at a point in front of the Arcelor headquarters, where a work by the British sculptor Henry Moore, depicting a mother and child, provides a focus.
