New York - Walk Across Brooklyn Bridge

PT// Já a vimos muitas vezes no cinema e na televisão, é, sem duvida, uma das pontes mais famosas do Mundo. Desta vez não perdemos a oportunidade de a atravessar a pé, embora também possa ser de bicicleta. Embora muito concorrida, tem vistas deslumbrantes sobre o East River, para Brooklyn, para Manhanttan e da própria ponte. Não convém ir com pressa, pois por cada passo que dá aparece uma nova oportunidade de foto. Deixar-se ir com a  multidão e aproveitar o melhor que tem para oferecer. Pode entrar na baixa de Manhanttan ou em Brooklyn (que foi como fizemos). EN// We have seen it many times in theatre and television, it is, undoubtedly, one of the most famous bridges in the world. This time we didn't miss the opportunity to walk throught it, but you could also cross by bicycle. Sometimes it could be crowded, but has breathtaking views of the East River, Brooklyn, Manhanttan and the bridge itself. You should take your time and don't rush, because every step you take gives you a new photo opportunity. Let yourself go with the crowd and enjoy the best it has to offer. You can enter in downtown Manhanttan or Brooklyn (that's how we did it).

Brooklyn Historical Society

PT// Centro histórico urbano, fundado em 1863. O edifício por si já vale a pena a visita. No museu podemos encontrar várias exposições sobre Brooklyn e pessoas que por lá passaram. Tem, também, uma biblioteca muito tradicional que vale a pena espreitar. EN// Historic urban center, founded in 1863. The building itself is already worth the visit. In the museum we can find several exhibitions about Brooklyn and people who have lived there. It also has a very traditional library that is worth a look.

Brooklyn - New York Transit Museum

PT// Sendo uma antiga estação de metro, a entrada passa completamente ao lado se não formos com atenção. Ao descer as escadas temos um pequeno espaço com a evolução das bilheteiras de metro ao longo dos tempos. Depois de entrarmos, acaba por não ser tão pequeno assim e podemos ver toda a história do New York Transit em algumas datas importantes (incluindo o ataque de 11 de Setembro) e a evolução das diferentes cabines do metro ao longo dos anos. Fica em Brooklyn Heights e é o maior museu de transportes dos Estados Unidos da América. Vale a pena a visita! EN// It’s an old subway station and the entrance could be missed if we do not pay attention. When we go down, we see a small space with the evolution of metro ticket offices over time. After entering, it turns out not to be that small and we can see the whole New York Transit story with some important dates (including the September 11 attack) and the evolution of the different subway cabs over the years. It is in Brooklyn Heights and is the largest transportation museum in the United States. It's worth the visit!

Brooklyn - City Walk

PT// Passeio por, não menos famosa, Brooklyn, que também faz lembrar muitos cenários de filmes. Descemos a margem do East River, onde existem muitos parques e espaços para relaxar e aproveitar para descansar, com uma vista deslumbrante sobre a Ponte de Brooklyn e a baixa de Nova Iorque. Fizemos ainda uma breve visita pelo Columbus Park, no centro da cidade. EN// Walk through, no less famous, Brooklyn, which is also known in many movie sets. We walk through the edge of East River, with many parks and spaces to relax and enjoy for rest, with a breathtaking view of the Brooklyn Bridge and downtown Manhantan. We also made a brief visit to Columbus Park, in the center of the city.
