Abrigava lojas, templos, o Tholos, onde o Senado realizava banquetes e oferecia sacrifícios, o Boulefterion, onde ficava o conselho da cidade de 500 membros, e o Hephaisteion, um templo dórico construído no século V aC e dedicado aos deuses Hefesto e Atena. It housed shops, temples, the Tholos, where the senate held banquets and offered sacrifices, the Boulefterion, where the 500-member city council sat, and the Hephaisteion, a Doric temple built in the fifth century BC and dedicated to the gods Hephaistos and Athena.
